In the second quarter of 2020 Pixelboxx GmbH not only gains new orders but also three new experienced employees. The goal is to continue the economic success of the first quarter and to secure the established, high quality standard of project and customer management for the next years. Jörg Elsdörfer, Stephan Kieslinger and Norbert Kerner talk about what fascinates them about Digital Asset Management, their goals with the Pixelboxx and their assessments of the future of DAM systems in an employee interview.
Pixelboxx wins experienced Technical Consultant and Business Consultant for itself.
Jörg Elsdörfer, Stephan Kieslinger and Norbert Kerner are experienced players in the DAM industry. Together they have been working in the field of digital asset management for over 13 years. Stephan Kieslinger was previously employed as a business consultant and was thus responsible, among other things, for requirements analyses, concepts and the preparation of specifications. Norbert Kerner worked as a Technical Consultant whose responsibilities included the technical implementation of the concepts as well as installation, configuration and updates of the main components and individual customer adaptations. The focus of Jörg Elsdörfer as Senior Key Account Manager was primarily in the sales area. Now the next chapter of their professional career begins for the three of them at Pixelboxx. In the same position, they want to contribute their gained experience, but they are also supposed to take over further tasks.
Pixelboxx prepares for the future of Digital Asset Management
The expansion of the internal digital structures should remain only a part of the long-term, strategic future orientation. The number of companies, which take the path of digital transformation with the Pixelboxx is growing. This also applies to the product portfolio of the company. In order to meet the demands of a growing and evolving market, new product developments are constantly pushed. Also for this reason the new colleagues decided to join the company. "On the other hand it was also the case that Pixelboxx will launch some new products. And these are just incredibly interesting projects, which are still in their infancy, but in my opinion and I think Stephan agrees with me, have a lot of potential", says Norbert Kerner. This potential also convinced Jörg Elsdörfer: "In the area of development and new technologies, to bring these new technologies into the market, I saw the innovative power and that was the decisive factor for me to switch to Pixelboxx. In addition, Stephan Kieslinger refers to the open communication: "A decisive point why it became the Pixelboxx at the end of the day was the open manner of all participants in the discussions and also the outlook on the future". In order to ensure the own high quality standards as well as the satisfaction of their customers, the Pixelboxx is always looking for experienced employees and talents for their developments in Digital Asset Management.
Also at the Pixelboxx, the three "newcomers" shall now work directly with the customers. Jörg Elsdörfer will be responsible as Business Sales Consultant for the acquisition of new customers as well as the support of existing customers. Norbert Kerner and Stephan Kieslinger will basically work in the areas of project management, requirements analysis and configuration. They could also be responsible for installation, update and upgrade in the future. At the moment Kerner and Kieslinger are thus fulfilling roles that cover the tasks of a requirements and project manager. Additionally, both are actively involved in product development. Norbert Kerner, as Product Owner, is to help define individual features and requirements for the software, while Stephan Kieslinger is to drive forward the sales structures for new developments. Norbert Kerner says that these challenges have also created incentives: "That's also the interesting story about the fact that you have the opportunity to actively participate in the design of the software in the different areas, which is something we didn't have in this form before. There's a difference whether you have an existing product where you can bring in feature requests here and there, or whether you are involved in the development or new development of a product and can bring your own touch to it.
The future of digital asset management promises exciting challenges and functions for software development. It will be interesting to see how the industry will be able to process and efficiently manage ever increasing amounts of data from different sources, keyword: Big Data. In this context, the answer to the question of how new systems and applications can be implemented in existing DAM systems and IT landscapes will also play a central role. In the future, the DAM market could develop away from individual sub-systems and towards an all-encompassing solution: "DAM will of course continue to be an essential part," says Stephan Kieslinger, "but it is much more a question of simply storing all data from all sub-systems centrally. In addition, the field of artificial intelligence will also become increasingly important. AI and machine learning could be used for the preparation and maintenance of information and achieve an efficiency and productivity increase that would remain unattainable with manual input.
Changes always require new impulses. For Jörg Elsdörfer, Stephan Kieslinger and Norbert Kerner, these impulses were the development of interesting projects with a lot of potential, active design possibilities, as well as open and goal-oriented communication. For these reasons they decided to use the Pixelboxx. Similar to a large number of companies, which have trusted the Pixelboxx for years to implement their digital transformation. The Pixelboxx does not only convince its customers.
